Relics are equippable items in Curse of the Dead Gods that grant passive bonuses to the Player. They can be found on the ground (looted from Enemies), in Treasure Chests, or at Relic Sanctuaries.
Relics all have their own Rarity tier (Common, Rare, Very Rare and Cursed) and Level (from 1 to 5) that determine their strength or powers. There are 10 categories of Relics: Corruption, Damage, Weaken, Fire, Lightning, Poison, Gold, Healing, Light & Darkness, Stamina, Stats, Cursed.
The Player can equip a maximum of 6 Relics (5 with the "Divine Pact"Curse), but it is possible to replace one Relic by a new one after you've hit that number. Relics that have never been equipped can be Offerred to the Gods in exchange for a one-time reward : this is a useful way of "recycling" unwanted Relics.
Most Relics have an effect that scales depending on their Rarity tier : the rarer the Relic, the more powerful its effect. However, some Relics can only appear at a predetermined Rarity tier, which means they will always have the same powers : this is for example the case of Cursed Relics.
In addition, Relics from Level 2 and above carry a Relic Affix. Relic Affixes grant several points in a given Stat : either Constitution, Dexterity, or Perception. The higher the Relic's Level, the more Stat points its Affix will give.
A Relic's Rarity and Level also impact the cost of the Offerings needed to acquire them from a Relic Sanctuary. In general, rarer and higher-Level Relics cost more than their inferior counterparts.
Stats Relics are always of common Rarity. Their effects scale with their Level. Contrary to other Relics, they do not receive an Affix at Lvl.2 and above.
Pendants with one Stat scale at a rate of 3 stats per Level, Chimeric Pendants scale at 1 Stat per Level (for a total of 3), and Hierophant Pendants scale at 4 stats per level.
