Dreadful Offspring are enemies in the Eagle Temple in Curse of the Dead Gods.

Basic versions can be found in tiers 2 and 3 of the Temple. Elite versions can be found in tier 3.

Appearance

The Dreadful Offspring resemble petrified babies. The 'umbilical cord' is connected to a stone platform that glides on the ground, while the baby floats above.

Attacks

The Dreadful Offspring can teleport near the player.

Basic version

• The Dreadful Offspring will shoot a lightning AOE in a straight line.
• If the player is close, it will cast a lightning AOE on itself.

Elite version

• The Dreadful Offspring will shoot a slightly homing lightning AOE.
• If the player is close, it will cast a lightning AOE on itself.

Journal entries

I can only shiver at the promises made to Chatac followers by the Eagle Goddess that mothers and fathers might be willing to deliver their own unborn babies to vile experimentation. I have battled with a breed of human infants, suspended in the floating womb of an electrified cloud of energy. Every angry wail of these ill begotten abominations fills the air with death.

Surprisingly, it does not pain me to destroy these children born into eternal tantrum. The science of Yaatz does indeed deliver terrifying power to those subjected to it, but the contorted result resembles something more monster than human, devoid of empathy and joy.
